Approximately 75 ECY/EL teachers from BINUS INTERNATIONAL SCHOOL Serpong attended the “Assessment Design and Application” workshop on 29 August 2009, on the 2nd Floor, Admission Hall, BINUS INTERNATIONAL SCHOOL Serpong.
This event was organized by the Widia Center of Excellence for Teaching and Learning (WiTeL) and featured facilitator Annabelle C. Villamarin, the Curriculum Head of ECY/EL Social Studies BINUS INTERNATIONAL SCHOOL Simprug.
In this workshop, participants were re-introduced to various learning theorists including Bloom, Gardner and Kolb and their relevance to the practice of assessment. The workshop considered the various forms that assessment can take place within the learning experience. It provided a range of authentic and effective models, and practical examples, which took into account the multiple learning styles in the classroom.
