  • Daily English reading program that intelligently and progressively builds children to become “Readers for Life” by Grade 2 or earlier.*
  • Bahasa Indonesia and Mandarin are vital languages that will be focused on.
  • Math hands-on manipulative activities and games integrated with language and literature to grasp early concepts of PATTERNS AND CLASSIFICATION, NUMBERS AND NUMBER THEORY, OPERATIONS, MONEY AND MEASUREMENT, and GEOMETRY.
  • Social Studies – History and geography is approached from a number of different angles, using a variety of print materials, hands-on projects and activities, art and music, and field trips. Children will learn about families and family life in different times and places around the world, especially in Indonesia. They will also be familiar with the use of maps and globes, draw simple maps, and know names and locations of the seven continents of the world.
  • Science – employing direct observation, and hands-on explorations and investigations, children learn science is a process. Children will also approach science through books, poems, biographies and multidisciplinary projects.
  • Visual Art – a multifaceted experience that incorporates hands-on projects and activities, art theory, art appreciation, and art history, children will be acquainted with the art of different cultures.
  • Music – active participation that includes music theory, music appreciation, and music history.
  • Physical Education – learning about importance of exercise, cleanliness, good nutrition and sleep is coupled with participation with age-appropriate activities.
  • Character Education and Religion – character education is an integral and very important part of students` learning at our school. Every teacher is also a character educator and strives to model the Six Pillars of Character: Trustworthiness, Respect, Responsibility, Fairness, Caring and Citizenship, while introducing these character concepts throughout the curriculum and in circle times. All the different religions of students are respected and supported where time is allocated weekly to give that aspect due attention.
